Ricky Lawrence Marshall was the first child of Lawrence Marshall and Mavanelle "Nell" Clendennen Marshall.
Ricky is preceded in death by his father Lawrence Marshall. Those left to treasure his memory are his mother Nell, his wife Holly of 10 years, his brother Monte Louis Marshall, his son Josh Marshall with wife Kristy, daughter Sarah Marshall Mikolajewski with husband Chad. (both children are from Ricky's previous eighteen marriage to Linda Newcomb daughter of James E. and Martha Newcomb also of Hempstead) Ricky is also survived stepchildren; Ryan Joy, Scott Anhorn with wife Melissa, Lindsay Anhorn, and Skip Joy. Centers of much joy for Ricky are his surviving nine grandchildren, Brian, Kristian, Kyle, Julienne, Abbie, Race, D.J., Hailey and Austin. He will be lovingly remembered by extended family and many devoted lifelong friends.
Ricky had a passion for motorcycles, car & boat racing, and hunting. He was his happiest when enjoying these recreations. During his high school years in Hempstead, Ricky served as President of FFA, acted in theatre and played quarterback on the varsity football team. He graduated from Hempstead High Class of 1968. Ricky went on to serve in the Army National Guard before joining his father in the automotive business. Afterward Ricky built a business in Waller County as a real estate broker. Throughout his career and life, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends, family, and strangers alike.
